Born and bread in LA, Coach Hugo, is a keen hockey player – even leading the LA Kings Youth Hockey team!
During his time with the LA Kings youth team, Hugo taught children the fundamentals of the sport as well as leading practices and local tournaments across the city.
Before joining Bounce, Hugo worked as a mentor and camp counsellor for the YMCA – developing their physical activities youth program for K through to 5th graders in elementary schools across the city.
When he’s not coaching our Mini Bouncers, Coach Hugo enjoys photography, hiking, professional wrestling and exploring his Guatemalan descent.
He also has a 2-year-old pet Gecko called Peanut!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Teleportation (Ability to travel locations in a quick manner)
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given? “If you don’t succeed the first time, keep trying. All you need to do is believe in yourself”. – My Maternal Grandfather
Which 3 items would you bring to a desert island? 1. Fire Starter, 2. Fishing Net, 3. Sharp Object
What’s your best place you’ve ever visited and why? Guatemala simply because it’s the birth place of many family members. In addition, I got the opportunity to obtain a greater knowledge regarding my culture, heritage, and traditions.

What would you do if you won a million dollars? 1. Buy a house/car, 2. Travel to “dreamed” destinations (Japan, Spain and Australia), 3. Assist those in need
Who’s your idol/biggest inspiration? My paternal and maternal grandparents
